We have discontinued preorder plant sales for 2022. Please shop our plants at the following locations:
-Ann Arbor Farmers Market in Kerrytown, Saturdays April - June
-Green Things Farm Collective Plant Sale May 21, 10 am - 4pm
-Our Farmstand and Greenhouse beginning April 8
We grow a unique selection of flowering perennials, annuals, vegetable and herb starts for retail sales April through June. We take care to select heirloom and rare varieties to go beyond what you can find at the average box store.
All of our plants are grown with environmental sustainaibility in mind. We use only organic potting mix and organic pesticides and fungicides when necessary. Our annuals are grown in biodegradable pots. We never use plant growth regulators. These dangerous chemicals (PGRs) are common in the nursery industry. They are known endocrine disruptors and potential carcinogens, and, while legal in the US, are banned in the EU. From the National Institute of Health:
"The residues of PGRs in agricultural products are seriously detrimental to human health because they have been found with hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, genotoxicity, neurotoxicity, even carcinogenicity and teratogenicity."
We are happy to provide beautiful, unique and healthy plants that are safe and free from toxins for your home garden.
